Meet the Author

Hey! My name is Areej Amer but everyone calls me Anna (Trust me, it's much easier to remember and pronounce) and I am a first year Arts and Sciences major at the University of Guelph. I am minoring in Neuroscience and Psychology and loving it so far! A cool thing about me is that I have been heavily involved in Visual Arts from a young age and one of my pieces was displayed in the Aga Khan Museum for their 'Finding Home' exhibit. I also love volunteering and hopefully will be going to Indonesia this summer to promote Health and Wellness among children with disabilities. I had a lot of fun learning about how a piece of ephemera can tell us so much about a time period and I hope you enjoyed the story I extracted from the Bee Hive Golden Corn Syrup pamphlet.
