Meet the Author

The authors of the cookbook, Honey and Some of the Ways it May be Used, are C.B. Gooderham and M.L. Heeney. Gooderham was a Dominion Apiarist for the Canadian federal government, an individual who specialises in preserving and cooking with honey. Gooderham was well-known for his work with honey and bees and wrote several books on the topic, Bee Diseases. After years of studying honey and bees, Gooderham retired in 1949. M.L. Heeney was the second author of Honey and Some of the Ways it May be Used, and was responsible for creating and testing the recipes included in the cookbook. Recipe testing ensured all the recipes could be successfully made before they were added to the book.
