Did you know that according to the Parks Canada Historical website and the Ontario Ministry of Government and Consumer Service websites (St. Lawrence Starch Company Fonds” and “St. Lawrence Starch Co.”) that the St. Lawrence Starch Company’s did not only create, develop, or advertised their different types of merchandise? According to these two sources the "St. Lawrence Starch Company had also attended and created different types of sports events to advocate cultural identity and pride."
Did you also know that even though the St. Lawrence Starch Company, Limited was abandoned and closed in 1999, The Bee Hive Corn Syrup brand still exists today? The reason for the brands existence could be seen in the Ontario Ministry of Government and Consumer Service websites (“St. Lawrence Starch Company Fonds” and “St. Lawrence Starch Co.”) According to these two websites that was funded by the Ontario Ministry of Government and Consumer Services they explained how the St. Lawrence Company was able to get in alliance with different corporation such as "Bestfoods, A.E Statley corporation, and Cargill Corporation" before their great demise and was therefore able to save a part of their business and identity.
