Meet the Author

fredericton cathedral.jpg

The authors of this cookbook are from a collection of people from the Cathedral Church in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Each recipe is credited and tested by adding their name to the recipe in the book. It is unclear if any of these people had any cooking backgrounds or training, but there are some people who are credited to more than one recipe in the book. Although most authors are only credited to one recipe, it is assumed that this is their favourite, or best recipe. While each recipe provided by the authors may not be an original, each is tested by that person. It is assumed that the people that contributed recipes were members of the parish. This cookbook was edited and released two more times in 1911 and 1920, adding and editing recipes, as well as removing some duplicates. The authors of each recipe are still credited to their recipes in the newer versions. The church is extravagant with a "Revived Gothic" architectural style. This church is now a National Historical Site.
