Introduction
Cherished Recipes: Ladies Fellowship was written by the Apostolic Church, located in Gaspereau Mt., Nova Scotia. The publisher of the cookbook is “Women’s Clubs Publishing Co., Inc.” and the place of publication is Chicago, Illinois. The publication date is not identified, however, due to content found inside it is believed to be circa 1950.
The cookbook’s dimensions are roughly 9 x 6 ¼”, and it is approximately a ¼” thick. The book gives no indication as to where it was sold, but it was likely to have been available at certain Apostolic churches in eastern Canada. The owner of this copy is also unidentified; however, its condition leads to the assumption that it was owned by a member of the Apostolic church community, someone who had cherished the ideas and recipes held inside. The book is held together by a plastic binder-like holding, and the pages are intact and seem to be true to their purchased condition. The front page does have a minor stain, something like coffee in appearance, but other than that the cookbook is in excellent shape. Although the date is not specified, we can assume that it is an older book due to its content, and therefore, we can state that it is in very good condition even though the specific age is not known.
