There are seven authors in Easy Camp Cooking. The first author is Morris Ackerman, born in Morgan County, Georgia. Aside from the mention that he picked up fishing during the hunting season, Ackerman was an editor and publisher for Ackerman’s Sportsman's Guide, a contributor to outdoor publications, and was a member of several outdoor clubs such as the Wilderness Club and Bass Lake Club amongst other organizations.

The second author is Charles S. Kirkstead whose place of birth is not mentioned. Kirkstead was a member of several hunting expeditions which contributed to his experiences in camp cooking. From this, he learned management skills through supervising food preparations in different establishments.

James Tandy Ellis from Northern Kentucky is the third author. His culinary interests started in his childhood through hunting and fishing, and he authored a book that included recipes from the Army, titled Camp Cooking.

The fourth author is W.H. H. Chamberlin, from Syracuse N.Y. Chamberlin is claimed to be the most experienced in camp cooking, although his main occupation was a printer.

Harry C. Phibbs is the fifth author of the cookbook. His profile is written as a story, which does not detail his hometown and culinary background or experience. However, a short story by Phibbs titled Bannock is provided instead, which also moonlights as a recipe for bannock.

George L. Catton is the sixth author and is mentioned as an authority in hunting, fishing and camping.

Finally, Mayor Townsend Whelen is the last author. There is no profile provided, but rather, two camp lists are contributed; advising what ingredients to bring and how much.
