Maple Leaf Cooking School: A Complete Home Study Course for Beginners and Others in Twelve Easy Lessons was written by Anna Lee Scott in 1932. This thirty-two-page cookbook was written in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Anna Lee Scott wrote and directed the two books containing lessons from 5-12 and also wrote the Easy Way Series. The objective of this cookbook is complete at home study course with multiple beginner recipes for most woman and all the little girls who are new to the field of cooking. In the cookbook, the lessons are planned for the beginner and "for the young girl, whose mother would like her to 'start right', for the business girl who has not yet kept the house, for the home-maker herself, who is dissatisfied with her cooking."  The cookbook is well organized in four easy lessons which include: an introduction to cooking and sauces for meat, fowl, and fish; simple batters from pancakes to muffins; biscuits; and pastry and pie fillings.
