The Cowan Company Ltd. produced a variety of products apart from cocoa powder. They also manufactured and sold Maple Buds, Chocolate Animals, Medallions, Almond Nut Bars, and other chocolate bars. In fact, Cowan’s Chocolate Bars often contained cards and coupons that belonged to a series. Once someone had collected all the cards or coupons in a particular series, they could send them to the Cowan Company Ltd. and redeem them for a free item, such as a recipe booklet, or a large picture.
