The Knox Company that still exists today is quite different from the one that compiled and published the Knox Almanac and Key to Health. The modern Knox Company was registered in 1975, while the Knox Company that existed in 1940 is no longer in business. The original company that published this book was a conglomerate of various smaller companies registered in different American states. With offices in New Jersey, Missouri, Pennsylvania, New York, and several other states, the Knox Company also submitted many trademarks in Canada. Generally, the Knox Company offered a variety of domestic products, from glass jars to articles of clothing; however, within Canada, many of their registered trademarks were for pharmaceutical products and the names and packaging designs for those products. Cystex, which is featured prominently in Knox Almanac and Key to Health, can still be purchased today and is primarily used to treat Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs).
