Cod liver oil is still sold in stores today but is now advertised as Omega-3. The marketing and scientific understanding of the product has changed, and it is now sold as a supplement that reduces blood pressure, slows the development of plaque in the arteries, decreases the likelihood of heart attacks, and reduces triglycerides.
