Classic Cooking with Coca-Cola is an incredibly unique cookbook as it was created by the founding family of Coca-Cola. The author, Elizabeth Candler Graham, is the great-great-granddaughter of Asa Griggs Candler, the founder of Coca-Cola. Graham, determined to find old photographs of her family, stumbled upon a large amount of family recipes which incorporated Coca-Cola products as a main ingredient. As a way of sharing these family recipes with other fans of Coca-Cola, she decided to create this cookbook. The Candler family also has deep roots in the Southern States. Graham, attributes these roots to many of her recipes, and therefore branded them as classic southern recipes. This cookbook is co-authored by Ralph Roberts, who like Graham, is a resident of Asheville, North Carolina, making him another active contributor to the southern food culture found throughout the cookbook. Both authors worked together to provide their audience with recipes for homemade comfort food straight from the Coca-Cola family itself.
