Egg Posies is a recipe that is located in the “Pizza for Breakfast?” section of the cookbook. It’s a simple recipe that only requires three ingredients, eggs, bread and jelly. A good way to teach your child about nutrition is to allow them to help during the cooking process. This recipe suggests letting your child cut the eggs only if you have a special tool designed for cutting eggs and it is safe for your child to do so. It then provides a pictorial diagram of the finished product followed by the written step by step instructions. It takes the ingredients of a simple recipe and presents it in a way that is interesting and fun for the child. the recipe also contains easy to follow steps on hard-boiling eggs for those who have not done so or struggle with the process. The ingredients are not ones tailored to children specifically and are typically commonplace in many households. This makes it easy when it comes to obtaining and storing the ingredients as you do not need to buy other ingredients that you would not eat yourself as an adult.

Another recipe in the “Pizza for Breakfast?’ section is Quickie Turnovers. The information in this passage is more to the help of the mother rather than the visual enjoyment of the child. only containing 5 ingredients and taking less than 15 min to bake, this recipe is an easy and fast endeavor for the new mom. In similar fashion to the previous recipe, this one contains another visual diagram to help in the process. Though this diagram depicts the preparation process in opposition of the presentation. It provides the steps on laying out, filling, and closing of the turnover. Additionally, it outlines a few additional or alternative ingredients to change it up and allow the child to explore and experience other tastes. Which is beneficial as it allows you to further understand the likes and dislikes of your child which will help in deciding the best meals for them.
