Cooking Up History

Cooking Up History

This cookbook is very unique as it main focus is not on the taste of the food, but on how it is presented and how it stands out to your guests with its variety of bright colors blended together and the centre of a table. It is interesting to know that not only Carol Brock had a great taste in table ceterpieces, but Martha Steward also does as well. You can go on Martha Stewats website and she sells centerpieces as well to make the home look more decorative. It may be okay to think that Martha Stewart was actually influenced by the work of Carol Brock, or did two great minds just think alike? Carols cookbook is not only great if you are looking for something fun to do, but if you are hosting a Thanksgiving for your friends and family, there is no better way but to go full out on the tradition.

In a Article written by the Atlantic all the way in the 1600's till this day, it is true that Thanksgiving is not only about the food but also the theme and fall colors that come with it. There are plenty of excellent reipies in this cookbook to host events, have traditions decorations for yourself and your family, and even to make eating more fun, as you will see in the Stuffed Stockings Recipe. The Atlantic claims that the term "food porn" goes much farther back than just social media, but for many years many different cultures take pride in their presentation and how their food is displayed in creative and delicious ways.
