This cookbook consists of various recipes that are traditional in Israel and over the years since publicization, they have become popular around the world with each country putting their own touch on it. According to the author, the main objective and purpose of the cookbook is that to the Ecclesiastes of Israel, they say that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor, as it is the gift of God. The cookbook also mentions that based on Jewish tradition, enjoying the good and savoring life’s simple and everyday pleasures has remained a touchstone and staple in Israel. The author also states that its main objective is not to make the book of traditional Jewish foods; although there is a combination of both Oriental and European traditional recipes, but rather provide samples from different kitchens of many excellent Jewish women cooks that are all hailing from different lands of those who are “enjoying the good” in Israel. One of the most important parts of this cookbook is that all the recipes use ingredients that are common and attainable to us now. Ingredients such as fruit, sugar, eggs, flour, lemon zest are used in dessert recipes and onions, beans, salt and pepper, a variety of different accessible cheeses in all the main recipes.
