Meet the Author

The author of The Junior Jewish Cookbook goes by the pen name Aunt Fanny. The author’s real name is Frances Elizabeth Barrow. Frances Elizabeth Barrow was an American born author. The author doesn’t have any known images of herself. She wrote children's books, in which some were translated and sold across Europe. She wrote children’s books, in which some were translated and sold across Europe. Barrow was born in South Carolina but moved to New York after getting married to James Barrow. Barrow wrote twenty-five books in all. Her works included Six Night Caps, The letter G and Aunt Fanny’s Story Book. Most of the books that were published by her were fairy tales targeted toward young boys and girls. The Junior Jewish Cookbook is the only cookbook published by Aunt Fanny.
