Introduction

Jenn-Air Corporation was founded in 1947 where they focused on improving ventilation devices for the restaurant industry. Over the years, Jenn-Air Corporation switched its aim and focus in the residential appliance field. In 1976 they introduced their first selective use convection oven that was very popular with consumers and top tier restaurants in Europe. Cooking with Jenn-Air is the corporations first major cookbook and it was designed to help consumers discover the many different appealing and delicious meals that can be created using their convertible cooktop grill and accessories with the selective use convection oven. The recipes in the cookbook are designed to complement the vast menu with Jenn-Air equipment. The cookbook is not a collection of sought out old favourites but instead the intentions were to look at new approaches to old classic recipes and to showcase the possibilities of cooking with Jenn-Air equipment. Convection roasting assures the juiciest and most flavourful meat possible as uncovered meat prepared in this heated air stream cooks faster and with less moisture than a regular oven. Jenn-Air made no mistake in hopping on the residential convection oven trend and publishing a cookbook that accents their equipment as it grew to popularize in North America.
