B’nai B’rith Canada is an organization that gives the Jewish community a voice for Canada’s oldest independent and self-funded national organization. They are activists for Jewish Canadians. Since 1875, they have defended human rights. The organization's objective is to encourage Jewish continuity and unity and a “staunch defender of the State of Israel and global Jewry, a tireless advocate on behalf of senior citizens and a leader in combating antisemitism & racism”. B’nai B’rith is supported by Canadian families that come from all over in order to help communicate their distress with the Jewish community through the media, so that the issues are brought up to the government. The organization provides many programs like social, educational, volunteer opportunities and human rights actions that bring the Jewish community together and be there for each other. B’nai B’rith shows that the Woman’s Work: An Age of Challenge cookbook is included as one of the many of the members who come together and share their favourite recipes. The photo of Gerda Rosner is one of the several contributors to this cookbook. Gerda's section highlighted 'Recipes for the Weight Conscious.'
